Spring is finally here. We’ll always raise a glass to that. To celebrate the return of longer days and warmer weather, we invited our National Whiskey Guardian Angel Teta to put together a selection of spring-themed recipes.
COCKTAILS   for   SPRING

GOLD RUSH

Sweet, smooth, and light — everything you want in a drink around this time of year.

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Angel’s Envy Kentucky
Straight Bourbon
¾ oz fresh lemon juice
¾ oz 2:1 honey syrup
Lemon wheel garnish

PREPARATION

Combine all ingredients into a
cocktail shaker with ice and shake
Strain into a lowball glass and
serve down (large cube suggested)
Garnish with a lemon wheel

INGREDIENTS

¾ oz. Angel’s Envy® Bourbon Finished in Port Barrels or Rye Finished in Rum Casks
¾ oz Amaro Nonino
¾ oz Aperol
¾ oz fresh lemon juice

PREPARATION

Add all ingredients into a
cocktail shaker with ice
Shake vigorously
Fine strain and serve up in
a coupe glass

Best enjoyed outside.

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Angel’s Envy Kentucky
Straight Bourbon
½ oz Ruby Port
3 dashes Angostura bitters
2 oz sparkling water
2 oz Fever Tree ginger ale

PREPARATION

Combine first three ingredients
into a chilled highball glass
Top with sparkling water and
ginger ale to taste
Fill with ice and lightly stir

Brown Derby

Get ready for Derby Day in style with this refreshing favorite.

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon
1 oz fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
¾ oz 2:1 honey syrup

PREPARATION

Add all ingredients and ice into a cocktail shaker
Shake vigorously
Strain into a cocktail glass

Nothing beats fresh fruit in the springtime — especially in a drink as good as this.

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon
½ oz fresh lemon juice
½ oz simple syrup
1 strawberry
2 dashes Angostura bitters
3 oz ginger beer

PREPARATION

Muddle the strawberry in a cocktail shaker
Add all ingredients, except the ginger beer, in the cocktail shaker
Fill shaker with ice and shake
Strain over fresh ice into a Collins glass
Top with ginger beer and enjoy
