
Ingredients
2 oz ANGEL'S ENVY Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
1 oz cherry, orange and basil simple syrup*
2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
1 fresh basil leaf
*1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 2 quartered oranges, 1 cup maraschino cherries, 6 oz fresh basil
Preparation
- For the syrup: Bring the water, sugar, oranges and cherries to a boil. Once the boil happens turn of the heat and put the basil in. Let this sit for about a half hour then strain.
- For the cocktail: Put ingredients into tall glass filled with ice. Stir and let sit for a couple minutes. Chill down a martini glass with ice or place in the freezer. Strain into glass, garnish with a fresh slapped basil leaf and enjoy.
